  • What are you most passionate about?

Helping others to be the best they can be. The most memorable and valuable moments in life come out of adversity and hard work. Life isn’t always easy so learning to work through problems only makes us stronger and builds character! I like helping others try to reach their full potential, especially when it is tough.

  1. What have you learned being an academic coach?

No one person is the same and not everyone responds in the same ways. This is a challenge but it is rewarding in so many ways because I get to build real relationships with good people both young and not so young.

  • What made you want to be the academic achievement coach?

Our school had a need and I wanted to help! It was an opportunity for me to support and get to know scholars outside of my learning space as well as provide support to other project managers. Being achievement coach means I can reach more kids in a variety of ways. I get to be in many classrooms and help scholars think about their future beyond high school because getting a diploma is important and just the beginning of the rest of one’s life.  It’s very exciting!
