NFL(Pro Bowl)

Irvin’s team vs. Carter’s team

This game would be the last game before the Super Bowl, and hosted all the players that were the best all season long.  The players that were chosen for this game were chosen by Hall Of Fame receivers Michael Irvin and Cris Carter.  Even though this was all fun and games for the pros, there was a lot of scoring and competition, especially near the end, because of a $27,000 reward for the players who won.  The first team to score was Irvin’s team, but it was only a field goal.  Carter’s team scored a touchdown when Andrew Luck passed it to tight end Greg Olsen for 17 yards.  Then Matthew Stafford came on the field for Irvin’s team and passed it to Emmanuel Sanders for a 10-yard touchdown. The extra point was missed though, which occurred quite a bit because the field goals were 4-feet smaller.  Carter’s team answered back  when they scored a touchdown to give them the lead 13-9.  That wasn’t all the scoring though, there were some field goals and there were some more touchdowns which Irvin’s team had a couple of while overcoming an 8 point deficit.  Irvin’s team came back to win 32-28, but the most remarkable play of the game was when Odell Beckham Jr. made a diving catch for 48 yards.

Indianapolis Colts vs. New England Patriots

The Team who won this game would go to Arizona and play in the Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks.  If anybody watched this game they would know that it was a blowout from the beginning.  Tom Brady threw  for three touchdowns and 266 yards.  The colts barely scored 7 points while the Patriots scored 45 points.  There were rumors that the Patriots deflated their balls below regulation, allowing them to be thrown and caught  easier.  The rumor was true after officials tested how much air was in those balls, but they were still  eligible for the Super Bowl, upsetting many.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Atlanta Hawks

In this game for the Hawks, players Paul Millsap scored 20 points while Al Horford scored 19, helping the Eastern-Conference and leading Hawks to win over the Timberwolves.  The Hawks kept the Timberwolves at bay throughout the game.  The Timberwolves did have a late surge of winning spirit in the fourth quarter, with about  2:08 remaining. The team scored back-to-back three pointers.  The late game surge failed, however, and the Hawks won it  112-100, leading to them having a 20-3 home record.
