— An unexpected power outage over the weekend caused a server to crash, resulting in the inability to access PowerSchool for both project managers and scholars at The ASK Academy.

“The hard drive that stores PowerSchool failed, the hard drive that backs up Power School failed, and the hard drive that backs up the backup failed,” said ASK founder Dan Barbour. The corrupted hard drives have been sent out to a company that specializes in recovering lost data from hard drives. “I hope this problem is resolved by next Monday,” he said. “It affects grades attendance and class record keeping.”

Junior Ryan O’Hara said, “I go on Power School to stay updated on my grades; I hope this gets fixed soon.”

Overall, this is an inconvenience to managers, scholars, and parents.
