ASK Academy’s first dance of the 2013-2014 school year will be next Friday, December 6. The dance will be held at the Italian American Association from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person.

According to Dance Committee President Cheyenne Duddy, the theme for this dance is Glow in the Dark, which was voted on by the student body. She said the committee has been busy fundraising to provide a unique experience for scholars. Tickets can be purchased before the dance from the front office beginning next week. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.

Any scholar who wishes to bring a date from outside  of ASK must pick up an approval form from Mrs. Correa and get it signed by administrators from the guest’s school. Mrs. Correa will then approve or deny the guest’s entry.  A list of approved guests will be left at the entry of the dance.

Semi-formal attire is required for entry. Males scholars may wear slacks and a button up shirt, dresses must be appropriate length for females.

The dance is for high school students only. The middle school will have its own dance at another time.

Senior Samantha Kellogg-Howell is looking forward to it. “It should be magical — a night of crazy fun with friends,” she said. “The goal is to get Mr. Garcia to dance.”
